leanne bolton
customer service manager, nz
As Leanne sees it, her entry into people management began shortly after she was born. Parent's and siblings were early practice subjects, before she took up her first management role at the age of 18.
Her can-do attitude has been rewarded with significant business achievements, such as a New Zealand Tourism Award for her involvement in an 18-month campaign that saw a 38 per cent increase in visitors from Southeast Asia.
Leanne rates her career with Cerebos Gregg's as 'equally awesome'. She joined our sales team in 2000 as Sales Co-ordinator, and 18 months later took on the role of Field Sales Executive, co-managing our retail field team. She now manages our Diamond Award winning customer service team. For Leanne, leadership is about getting the best results from people, removing barriers, and challenging people and processes in order to achieve the goals.
Outside of work, Leanne believes that behind every great woman there has to be a 'fabadibodobulous' man. She explains that while she may dream of bringing her management style home to try on her husband, he has learnt to say no and pushback when the dishwasher needs emptying. From time to time, she re-asserts herself on the race track. They have a race-car challenge permanently set up in their lounge for this very purpose. In reality however, they're seldom at home. Most of their life is spent out having fun with friends, staying healthy and making the most of their day jobs in order to finance lives that are led to the full.
